As we continue to put in the work throughout the Summer, we have to remind ourselves to take the time to sit back and enjoy these sunny months with friends and family. Need some Summer cocktail ideas? Our instructors have your covered with their favorites!

Darryll:

“I go for the grapefruit crush. Soda water, but no Sprite… I like ‘em refreshing!

Nick:

“Gin and tonics with Barr Hill gin… and a lot of lime!”

Maddison:

  1. Moscow Mule
  • Tito’s vodka (as much as your heart desires)
  • 1 can / bottle of Ginger beer (I prefer Maine Root Ginger Brew)
  • Lime juice and a wedge!

“I love this cocktail because you can spice it up with different ingredients like muddled cucumber, berries, jalapeño, and most restaurants offer these with a unique twist! If you’re looking for a low cal option to make at home, Fever Tree is a good alternative ginger beer to use. Also, you can never go wrong with a spiked seltzer, those things are bommmmmb!”

  1. Corona Premier

“A great low cal and carb beer for all the beer lovers out there! 99 calories, 4 carbohydrates... throw a lime on top and you’re good to go!”

Jami:

“My favorite summer cocktail is a watermelon crush with ginger kombucha. If you’re looking for a good kombucha brand, I love Kevita!”

Jess:

“This summer I’ve been all about a bourbon half and half. Typically, I’ll do Maker’s Mark with half lemonade and half iced tea - a twist on a John Daly. It’s the perfect refreshing summer cocktail on a hot day!”

Kelsey:

“My favorite cocktail is Grapefruit Ranch water. Very refreshing and light on a hot day. Here are the ingredients!”

  • 1/3 c. fresh pink grapefruit juice
  • 3 tbsp. simple syrup
  • 1 1/2 oz. Spiced Tequila
  • Sparkling Water (such as Topo Chico)
  • Pink grapefruit wedges, cilantro sprigs, and sliced jalapeño, for garnish

Kelly:

“I know this is not a cocktail, but its my favorite in the summer… ROSE ALL DAY. I call it ‘summer water!’”
