Ways to Give Back This Holiday Season
Posted on April 19, 2024 in REV Community

At REV, we love to give back to our community as much as we can. Our favorite ways are typically through charity rides & food drives, but this season, we wanted to do more. This past week, our front desk staff and instructors sponsored two angels from the Salvation Army! We had a blast picking out presents and being their "Santa" for the day! Sadly, the cut off for The Salvation Army was this past Friday, but there's a ton of other ways to give back! See the below for some of our favorite charities and what they're doing this season to make an impact in our community.

Rev Cycle Holiday Give Back 2020

Mera Kitchen Collective

In response to COVID-19, Mera Kitchen has cooked and served over 72,000 free meals for those in need in Baltimore. Donate or order take out to help them continue to support the most vulnerable individuals in our city.

Baltimore Hunger Project

The Baltimore Hunger Project supports food-insecure children in Baltimore City and County. They are dedicated to eliminate the growing problem of weekend childhood hunger by feeding kids. The Baltimore Hunger Project aims bridge the gap between Friday and Monday by consistently providing weekend food packages to children identified as food-insecure in a compassionate and dignified manner. Please help us strengthen those bodies by meeting children’s nutritional needs and empower those minds by offering educational resources to children and families. Help build communities by nurturing partnerships among individuals, corporations, and schools.

United Way of Central Maryland

It’s never too early to get in the holiday spirit, and this holiday season, United Way is bringing joy, fun and holiday cheer to struggling families – and we need your help! There are so many ways to get involved! Donate, volunteer, or participate in a gift registry or toy drive!

Paul’s Place

Paul’s Place is a catalyst and leader for change, improving the quality of life in the Washington Village/Pigtown neighborhood and the surrounding Southwest Baltimore communities. Paul’s Place provides programs, services, and support that strengthen individuals and families, fostering hope, personal dignity and growth. Donate or volunteer to help our back yard.

Moveable Feast

Moveable Feast was founded 31 years ago to feed people, fight disease, and foster hope. Moveable Feast serves individuals in Baltimore City, the five surrounding counties, and the entire Eastern Shore who have been diagnosed with severe and chronic illnesses. You can get involved by donating today to provide life-changing meals to their clients, by sending a kindness card to give hope, or by supporting their charity through our fundraising events to help spread awareness about their work.

Maryland SPCA for Pets

Every year, the Maryland SPCA’s Kindness for Paws Art Show features children’s art depicting our shelter pets. This past year, 34 Baltimore County and 13 Baltimore City schools participated. A select few art pieces win the title “Best in Show." Now for the first time ever, bring home this heartfelt art on shirts, mugs, masks, and more! These are perfect holiday gifts for friends and family. And proceeds will benefit the MD SPCA!

For even more ways to give back, Baltimore Magazine completed a Give Baltimore 2020 Page that highlights over 45 charities in our community. If you’re able, let’s help those in need this holiday season.
